LaRoccaXC Trail System

Since we are first and foremost a school, our 'snake and ladder' trail layout was designed with the specific goal of instructing and coaching through repetition. Technical single-track loops are stacked on each other offering athletes a great fartlek workout. Interval training can be performed on a super technical single-track climb to the top of the mountain.

New trails are continuously developed from May to November with the help of volunteers, stewards and trail building workshop participants. We hope to add another 10 km of trails this year at the top of the mountain.

Special thanks goes to Steve Kiernan, Ironwood riders (Ryan Atkins, Norm Cowan, James Cowan) and camp counsellors and stewards who worked really hard since 2003 to build our 15 km trail network. In May 2010, Jérôme Pelland, Simon Boileau, Mark Schmidt and I.M.B.A. Trail Care Crew donated their time and expertise in the creation of two new trails (Picasso and Camel Back). Benjamin McKinnon from Five Knights Production created a documentary called 'Soulcarving' of this memorable weekend which will be launched this Spring 2011 during our Open House. Special thanks also goes to Tim Hanrahan and Patrick Clenighan
