During the winter of 2010, a group of committed riders met to discuss the possibilities of LaRoccaXC Mountain Club becoming a not for profit organization. Following a couple of meetings and numerous email exchanges, it became apparent that the focus for 2011 should be the recruitment of dedicated volunteers to lead different portfolios (sponsorship, fundraising, social committee, marketing, finances, program design etc.) and form the board of executive. This project is presently on hold.

2011 Club LaRoccaXC Club

The LaRoccaXC Cycling Club is for riders who:

• Care deeply about conservation and sustainable trail design and build;
• Share a passion for outdoor recreation;
• Are looking for opportunities to improve their riding skills and fitness level through social recreational rides and high performance training sessions.

Please note that we do not offer mountain bike instruction during club rides. This is strictly a social & riding club.

An adult must accompany children age 8 to 13 at all times.

* 13% tax & $25 OCA insurance fee included

LaRoccaXC Club membership includes:

• FREE trail access at the Creative Wheel Centre for 2011;
• Family high performance rides every Wednesday evenings;
• Women only Thursday night rides;
• Sunday Gatineau Park co-ed road rides;
• Sunday afternoon backcountry mountain bike co-ed rides;
• Monthly social & BBQ/bonfire evenings at the Creative Wheel Centre with special guests.
• Great discounts on Rocky Mountain and Miele mountain bikes and road bikes.
• 10% off at these participating stores and service providers.

2011 LaRoccaXC Club Riding Calendar

Rides	Dates	Riding Level & Description
High Performance Wednesdays (6:30 pm)	April 27th - August 31st	April 27th to August 31st Co-Ed /Competitive youth 12+ and adults. For riders who wish to improve their fitness through fast pace riding, fun interval training session and race simulation. Led by volunteer parents with the guidance of Dominique Larocque and special guests. Rides will take place at different locations (Kanata, Gatineau Park, Camp Fortune, Creative Wheel Centre).
Women Only Thursdays (6:30 pm)	April 28th - September 1st.	Recreational and Competitive riders Rides will be color-coded depending on your drive, fitness and skill level. Led by volunteer WWOW/Team Equus graduates with the guidance of Dominique Larocque and Mikhael Mercier. Rides will take place at different locations (National Capital Green Belt, Kanata, Gatineau Park, Camp Fortune, Creative Wheel Centre).
Sunday "Rise & Shine" Gatineau Park Rides / Co-Ed Road bikes welcome! (8 am)	April 24th - August 28th	Recreational and Competitive riders Rides will be color-coded depending on your drive, fitness and skill level. Led by Mikhael Mercier and volunteer coaches.
Sunday afternoon LSD mountain bike ride / Co-Ed (2 pm)	Dates to be confirmed soon!	Recreational & Social riders Sunday afternoon co-ed mountain bike ride (2 pm) Exploring backcountry roads in the Edelweiss valley. Led by Dominique Larocque and volunteer coaches.

The ride schedule will be available in the middle of March 2011.
